Grants available for the children of employees who work at TSA companies

The Fashion & Textile Children’s Trust (FTCT)  – a lovely children’s charity that can support the families of YOUR employees.

If any of your employees have children aged 0-18 years and just finding it tough to make ends meet, they may be eligible to apply for an FTCT grant. With the school holidays underway and the cost of school uniform, this can be an expensive time of year for parents – this is where FTCT can really help.

As well as school uniform, grants from the charity can also help to fund a proper bed for a child to sleep in, a working cooker for hot meals, a working washing machine for clean clothes. FTCT grants can also fund mobility equipment, sensory toys or educational support for children with a disability or additional needs.

To apply, the charity asks for the following criteria to be met:

  • One or more parent must work (or have recently worked) in the UK fashion and textile industry.
  • Children must be aged between 0-18 years.
  • The charity is particularly keen to support families who are struggling financially to make ends meet - this may be as the result of unexpected change in circumstances or an ongoing situation, such as ill health, bereavement, unsettled housing or significant financial pressures.
  • Grants can fund essential items which impact on the wellbeing of all children in the family.

This is a FREE service for your company and for the employee, their grants are not a loan and do not have to be re-paid. If you would like to find out how your company could work with the charity, please get in touch with Anna, Director, FTCT / anna@ftct.org.uk / 0300 123 9002 / https://www.ftct.org.uk/
