White Knight Laundry and Dry Cleaning, the south's leading independent door-to-door laundry and dry cleaning company, has opened a new depot enabling it to serve Gloucestershire, Worcestershire and additional households in Oxfordshire for the first time. The depot, located in Witney, Oxfordshire, was opened in August this year following the acquisition of more than 1,000 customers in the area. Nearly 4,000 square feet in size, the depot is made up of an area for the pick-up of dirty linen and a drop-off point for clean laundry, as well as an office for telesales, stock control and customer service. As a result of the new customer-base and depot, White Knight franchisee Chris Clinkard has seen his business expand into Gloucestershire, Worcestershire and new areas of Oxfordshire that were previously too far out for the company to service. The postal areas now covered by White Knight are GL, SN, OX, WR and CV. The expansion has seen Chris add three more vans and drivers to his fleet of vehicles, bringing the total number of vans to four and the number of employees to seven full time and three part time staff. Overall weekly sales in the area have grown four-fold in the last two years.
